Group Business Manager NT Full-time

Dreamedia Events is seeking a Business Manager to grow our wide breadth of services to our Northern Territory clients. Our target markets are Events industry, Media industry and Transport industry. We have an expected growth period in the next 18 months and we are currently seeking an expert with the correct and proven business skills to lead our organisation into this new area of growth.

Dreamedia Events Pty. Ltd. provides its clients with a wide range of service event management, event production, media design, design, event hire, transport and logistics and also in-house venue technology services.

About the Role

This role will require a proactive and passionate candidate with a focus on growth and strong internal department leadership to work alongside the CEO in helping the organisation to reach its' local strategic and operational goals. You must have a passion for local community driving productivity and ultimately ensuring continued profitable growth for the company whilst securing long terms partnership’s with our local business community. You must have a commercial understanding on how to build a business from the ground up running every department sustainably. You will have approx. 7 departments in your portfolio. You will be possibly be required to travel from Uluru, Alice Springs, WA, Gove and Darwin at times to build on our customer base.

This is a hands-on role working directly with the senior leadership team and the CEO. You will be out in the field with our clients, working on improving our business methods and winning new accounts with our sales team. OH&S is a major focus for our business and you will need experience in this field.

The role will be responsible for:

  • Lead the development of products and services in our local market
  • Driving vision, developing strategy, measuring performance objectives, and overseeing our growth operational plans.
  • Ensuring each department is meeting its financial goals
  • Oversee compliance and governance, focusing on improving efficiencies
  • Responsible for securing and writing contracts with venues
  • Ensure we maintain a client focussed product in our local NT market.
  • Deeply engage with our staff and our partners in the industry.
  • Build and maintain a collaborative and respectful internal culture to achieving the organisation’s strategic objectives
  • Build highly productive alliances with other event supplies in the NT

As the Business Manager, you will have 10+ years’ experience in a senior leadership position, preferably in the events industries. You will have strong strategic capabilities and an ability to turn strategy into meaningful action. Your stakeholder engagement and leadership style will be passionate, engaging and committed to growing local jobs in our local entertainment industry.

Technical Director/AV Manager Full-time

DREAMEDIA EVENTS - is seeking dynamic enthusiastic Technical Director in Darwin, NT.

DREAMEDIA EVENTS is a successful production company that stands tall in the landscape of commercial and corporate events. We have high standards of excellence in audio, vision, lighting, themeing and creativity. We are seeking a Technical Director to work in our audio, lighting and vision departments to assist in the design and production of all events. We work all over the NT and this person would enjoy travelling to festivals and corporate events around the NT. The successful applicant must have a drivers license ...and a forklift, truck license or riggers tickets are a significant bonus.

Essential criteria to be successful in this position is a minimum of 3 years experience in this role or similar technical role;

Areas that you will be working in are;

1. Corporate gala dinners and large corporate events
2. Small and large outdoor concerts
3. Festivals both in Darwin and remote outback
4. Live sporting video production
5. Product launches
6. Opportunities to working in remote outback for corporate events

Warehouse Manager - (Full Time) Full-time

This is a great opportunity to work all over the Northern Territory with 4 different warehouses to manage.  We promise you that no one day will ever feel the same.  You will be managing large amounts of audio, lighting, staging, LED screens and many other production equipment.  It is a very high traffic role that will keep you engaged all day long.  It is definitely a role that will bring great challenges and great rewards.

The Applicant must have the follow skills or experience;

  • Computer skills (PC or MAC)
  • A great ability to manage a large amount of rental  stock 
  • A brilliant attitude when working with staff and customers.
  • Minimum 5 years experience a organisational role
  • A high paced energetic role that needs precise understanding of how to run, operate and maintain and warehouse.
  • Must have a Forklift licence and MR truck licence

Dreamedia is a leading production company in the Northern Territory and the largest in the North of Australia. With extensive audio, lighting, vision, staging, theming, LED department and backline, Dreamedia is now expanding and servicing parts of the southern market. These are the area’s that you will be working and administering your technical expertise.
