We can now mix fully digitally with 72 input channels and 32 physical outputs. Paired with our M7CL we can now assure 100% redundancy in cable transmission, completely digital split system mixing, redundant consoles and channel for channel live recording capability. This is a touring grade product and the only system capable of multiple console digital networking currently in the territory. ..

Yamaha CL5- Dreamedia's Latest Investment
Last August last year we realised that we needed another digital console as our Yamaha M7 was getting requested on most events...not that I was really that keen on spending any more money on audio gear, I began the process of chatting to sales rep's and didn't realise that there are so many choices out there....unbelievable!!!! I must credit Bruce Johnson with helping us make the final decision on this console. I umm and urr'd for about 4 months on this. I actually had my heart set on a profile but when Bruce learnt the type of shows we were doing and the gear list we had in our inventory, we all agreed the new Yamaha CL5 with 2 x RIO3224D remote I/O units seemed the perfect fit. With a three-section fader layout, 72 mono, 8 stereo input channels the CL5 this console is going to work well for us...and most important...it has lots or pretty lights (haha!) ..
'Ben' our Frenchman returns....
Its very exciting time for Dreamedia.
New contracts, new events, new equipment....and look who's coming back to join the team. One of the biggest thrills for the team is our old french mate, Ben Thibaud is coming back from France to run our Uluru office. This is a total thrill for us. Ben knows the NT, knows how to run outback events, he understands design, flare and creatively, he understand account management...and he's a great bloke. Ben came to us 2 years ago as a backpacker passing through town. All the staff at Dreamedia are thrilled about his return to the company. ..

Christmas Carols in Darwin
Dreamedia Events were recently engaged to delver the audio, vision and lighting for 7000 pax at the the 2012 Darwin Christmas Carols evening at the Darwin Amphitheatre. It was a 2 day bump in almost 100% humidity at 34-35' degrees. OHHHHH! It was Hot. This year was exciting have 100 singers in the choir, 18 in the brass band, a house band and a A list of the NT's best singers. We used 16 Cabinets and 4 dual 18's for front of house and 8 boxes and 2 x double 18's as the delay system. A Yamaha MCL7 was out front and a Midas Sienna was on fold-back. We had to be careful in our design of the lighting rig due to is being the middle of the Dry season. We used 8 x 700 spots and 8 x 700 washes, 12 LED movers and about 16 generic lights for the front wash. We used a barco presentation Pro II as our switcher on this and recorded the show onto a grass valley Turbo. Mike V was on front of House, Rob was on LIghts, Chris was on switching and Josh Grant was on fold-back. For the first time in may years the event got rained out 5 songs into the night....so we never got to finish the show...but what the punters saw/heard...they were impressed with. ..
